The Office of Special Education and Early Intervention Services invites you to attend the first SECAC meeting of the 2024-2025 school year. Today is the day for the State Superintendent of School's Community Forum in Wicomico County. Dr. Carey M. Wright is kicking off a statewide series of Community Forums on Tuesday, Sept. 17, in Wicomico County Public Schools at Salisbury Middle School from 5-6 p.m. We invite students, families, educators, and community members to join the conversation on elevating public education in Maryland. Save the Date (Sept. 17)! State Superintendent of Schools Dr. Carey M. Wright will kick off her statewide series of Community Forums with a Community Forum in Wicomico County on Tuesday, Sept. 17. The forum will be held at Salisbury Middle School and will take place from 5-6 p.m. It is open to the entire community to attend.
Welcome back today (Tuesday, Sept. 3) to all students in grades 1-6 and 9 (all grades attend at Pittsville Elementary and Middle, only Grade 6 attends at Mardela Middle & High).

Friday, Aug. 30: Central Office and school offices are open, but teachers and most school staff are off today to enjoy the last weekend of the summer before the start of school. We look forward to seeing everyone rested and ready for learning starting Tuesday, Sept. 3 for most students.

The Family Portal, an invaluable information resource for parents and guardians and students, is now open for the 2024-2025 school year. Access the Family Portal at the top of the home page at www.wicomicoschools.org. Or, to get login instructions, visit https://www.wicomicoschools.org/page/family-portal-how-to-log-in. Note: Once logged into Family Portal for 2024-2025, parents and guardians will be able to locate the student ID number they need to sign up the student for the EDULOG Parent Portal for bus updates.

The next monthly meeting of the Wicomico County Board of Education is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 13 in the Board of Education Auditorium at 101 Long Ave., Salisbury. In accordance with the Board of Education Public Comments Protocol Policy, pre-registration for public comments is required. Public comments during the Board meeting will be limited to 20 participants.
