The Office of Special Education and Early Intervention Services invites you to attend the first SECAC meeting of the 2024-2025 school year. We are excited to announce the opening of our Warrior Care Closet. The purpose of our closet is to provide our warriors with basic necessities. If you are able to donate any of the listed items, please direct them to Mrs. Patton in B-138. Thank you for supporting our warriors.


We want to remind students and parents of the criteria to participate in the Warrior Fun in the Sun event at the end of the year, as it requires students to walk the warrior way all school year long.


The first spirit week of the year is quickly approaching. During the week of September 30th, let's have some fun leading up to our pep rally, Homecoming game, and Homecoming dance. The days are as follows:
Monday 9/30 - Skaters vs Surfers (no skateboards or surfboards are permitted in the building)
Tuesday 10/1 - Rhyme w/o Reason
Wednesday 10/2 - Red, White, and Blue Day
Thursday 10/3 - Throwback Thursday
Friday 10/4 - PINK Out!

Registration for this year’s AP exams begins on September 9th and ends November 1st, for Semester I or full year courses. The tests will be held between May 5th - 16th of 2025. This year, the cost of AP exams will be covered through MD Blueprint funding for courses that your student is enrolled in through WCPS. If your student registers late or registers for the exam and then decides not to take the test after the deadline above, College Board will charge a $40 fee, and WCPS will charge an additional processing fee.

The first meeting of the Mardela Dungeons and Dragons and Card Gaming Club was a huge success. So successful that we outgrew the temporary library. The next meeting will be Tuesday, September 24th, after school in Mr. McRae’s Tech Ed lab room. If you’re interested in joining, please see Ms. Brown in the library for a permission slip.
