Mrs. Rhodes, Career Coach for Mardela was excited to bring a special guest speaker to school today giving our students an opportunity for Career Exploration. Students interested in being a veterinarian had the chance to meet Dr. Emily Palmeiri of HousePaws Mobile Vet Service today. Our middle and high schoolers asked great questions, learned about a day in the life of a vet, veterinarian school, and were able to see the mobile vet unit. Thank you Dr. Emily for visiting with our students today!! @housepawsmobilevet

Congratulations to Hollen Orr! She was recently chosen as an alternate for the Maryland General Assembly Page Program. Hollen is an accomplished student leader. She currently serves as SGA President, Senior Class Vice President, and Secretary of the National Honor Society. This program allows students from across the state to come to Annapolis and assist our elected officials. Pages get a chance to observe committee meeting, legislative sessions, and other aspects of Maryland’s government.

The PBIS team would like to send a huge thank you to all of the teams, volunteers and sponsors, that supported our Fall golf tournament on November 5th. A special thank you to our MMHS PTA and Mrs. Anne Fahey. This event, along with our Spring golf tournament, help us to raise funds for our big end of the year incentive for students who follow the Warrior Way all school year. These funds allow us to rent inflatables, rent a teacher dunk booth, fund Snowies for each student, and fund our door prizes. If you, or your company, are interested in sponsoring a hole at our Spring golf tournament, or sponsoring an inflatable at our end of the year incentive, please reach out to Mrs. Lohr.
