On Wednesday, October 11th, we will be administering the PSAT to all 10th graders and any 9th or 11th grade students who signed up and paid to take the PSAT. All other students will not attend school that day but will instead complete asynchronous work at home through their Google Classrooms. Teachers will assign work for them to complete at home for that day. If your student has difficulty accessing the internet, please have them request a paper copy of the assignment from their teacher. Students taking the PSAT test that day will be exempt from asynchronous assignments. More information will be forthcoming regarding pick up times for test takers on October 11th and bus departure times for those students who need to ride a bus home.

The cross country team did a great job at their first meet of the season on Monday. It was a hot day on the toughest and longest course they will see all season. Mardela’s two top finishers are both rookies and this was their cross country debut. Evelyn Reeder finished 5th in the girl’s race and Jacob Samis finished 1st in the boy’s race. Congrats to Jacob on the win and congrats to all the runners for a great first race.

Mardela Girls Soccer won at Crisfield 13-0. Camryn Dorr led the way with 4 goals. Samantha Witte and Alayna Goslee each scored a pair. Ava Twilley, Addison Derbyshire, Lynleigh Willing, Izzie Ward, and Lizbeth Garcia all contributed one goal. Ward and Lexie Guy combined for the shutout at Keeper.
