Mu Alpha Theta is the math honor society at Parkside High School, and we are accepting applications for new members this month!
To join, you must have completed Algebra I, Geometry and one additional honors or AP level math course, and have at least a 3.0 (unweighted) math grade point average.
If you are interested in joining, please pick up an application outside of Ms. Whitebread’s room (U7) and return your completed application by Friday, February 20, 2026. Applications are also available in the Google classroom for your grade level. Information about returning the application can be found on the application form.

2nd Marking Period Report Cards were published online this afternoon and available for viewing. We will pass out paper copies of them on Monday, February 2nd.

The Day The Internet Died is postponed till a later date. Unfortunately, too many cast members are sick.

Useful information for this cold week with all of its schedule changes: A note that report cards will now be available Jan. 30 (rescheduled from Jan 29), and a chart about school times with a 90-minute delay.

It's time to apply to Parkside's National English Honor Society! Please review the requirements and be sure to submit before February 27, 2026.

A Superintendent's Open Door Session will take place from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28. Time with Superintendent of Schools Dr. Micah Stauffer is on a first-come, first-served basis, at the school system's main office at 2424 Northgate Drive, Salisbury.

Students will attend IECC’s Annual CTE Career Circuit Day to learn about careers in the electrical industry and paid apprenticeship opportunities with IECC.
Students will:
• Light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
• Get information on 3-year Low Voltage and 4-year Electrical Apprenticeships with IECC
• Meet electrical contractors and industry professionals
• Learn how electrical systems are used in smart homes, commercial buildings, hospitals, airports, and universities
• Explore low-voltage systems, fire alarms, telecom, automation, and wiring
• Participate in breakout rooms and live demonstrations

These trips will give you a firsthand look at college life through campus visits and admissions insights. To participate, you must meet a minimum GPA requirement and may choose up to two trips to attend. More details and sign-up information coming soon—don’t miss out!
