Mr. Lewis is a graduate of Wicomico County Public Schools and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from University of Maryland Eastern Shore in 2013. He has his master's degree in Educational Leadership from Salisbury University in 2019. Prior to his appointment as Assistant Principal, he was Dean of Students at James M. Bennett High School and a special education teacher. In addition to his primary roles, he has served on the Student Services Team and coached on the baseball team since 2014-2018. He lives in Sharptown, Maryland and loves spending time with his wife, Ariel, and three sons, Jude, Jameson, and Joel. He loves anything outdoors, and particularly loves to hunt and fish. He is an avid sports fan, with his favorite teams are Baltimore Orioles and Dallas Cowboys. He is thrilled to take on this new role as Assistant Principal, and wants to make the educational experience beneficial for all students.

Mr. Morris comes from Long Island, New York. He has attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education at Towson University, and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership & Administration from St. Thomas University. Prior to working in administration, Mr. Morris was both a Physical Education teacher, and a United States Olympic Hopeful Athlete. Morris was featured as a finalist on NBC’s “Next Olympic Hopeful” and was selected to pursue a path to the Olympic Games as a cyclist. Prior to teaching and training for the Olympic Games, Morris played football and rugby for the Towson Tigers, and played rugby under the Glendale Raptors professional rugby organization in Vail, Colorado. Morris is now focused on serving his school, community, and family. He enjoys being outdoors, engaging in sports and fitness activities, and loves to spend his free time with his fiancé, Jennifer, and his dog, Kobe. Morris is thrilled to be a part of the Salisbury Middle School community!

Originally from Pocomoke City, MD., Rachel Thompson, a graduate of Salisbury University, has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration. Ms. Thompson is beginning her 12th year as an educator in Wicomico County and will serve as Dean of Students and grade 6 administrator this year at Salisbury Middle School. During her time as a classroom teacher, Ms. Thompson excelled as a school leader by serving as chairperson of the Staff Morale committee and leading professional development for effective integration of technology. Ms. Thompson also served as coach of the Junior Math League/Club, Girls Who Code, and National Junior Honor Society. Ms. Thompson also works with Salisbury University teacher candidates in multiple mentoring capacities. She is currently working on National Board Certification. Ms. Thompson was the Salisbury Middle School Teacher of the Year for 2023-2024, and a Finalist for Wicomico County Teacher of the Year for 2023-2024.
