Terry Dunn

TERRY DUNN - PRINCIPAL

Mr. Dunn is originally from New York and is a product of the Rockland County School District. He earned his undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Science, Elementary Education from Salisbury State University in 1995 and his Master of Education in School Administration (M.Ed.) from Salisbury University in 2002. Prior to becoming Principal of Salisbury Middle School in Wicomico County, Mr. Dunn was a vice principal at SMS for both the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 school year and vice principal at Mardela Midle and High School in the 2016-2017 school year.  Mr. Dunn was the Dean of Students at Salisbury Middle School in the 2015-2016 school year, and a teacher of Mathematics in grades 6 and 7 from 2003-2015. In the 2003-2004 school year Mr. Dunn was chosen as the Salisbury Middle School Teacher of the Year and a semifinalist for Wicomico Teacher of the Year.  Mr. Dunn began his teaching career at Pemberton Elementary School from 1996-2003 in grades 5 and 6 teaching multiple subjects. Mr. Dunn resides in Salisbury and has five children, Tyler, Caitlyn, Natalie, Lacey and Ryan.

JENNIFER MUDD

JENNIFER MUDD - ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL

Originally from Charles County, Maryland, Ms. Jennifer Mudd earned a Bachelor of Science from Salisbury University and a Master of Educational Administration from Texas State University/Lamar University. Ms. Mudd is in her 17th year of service at Salisbury Middle School. During her teaching career Ms. Mudd served as the PBIS chairperson, special area team leader, and member of the instructional leadership team. In 2017-2018, Ms. Mudd was chosen as the Salisbury Middle School Teacher of the Year and a semifinalist for Wicomico Teacher of the Year. Additionally, Ms. Mudd has served as a coach for over 20 years, having coached girls basketball, track and field, and softball.

Brent Lewis

BRENT LEWIS - ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL

Mr. Lewis is a graduate of Wicomico County Public Schools and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from University of Maryland Eastern Shore in 2013. He has his master's degree in Educational Leadership from Salisbury University in 2019. Prior to his appointment as Assistant Principal, he was Dean of Students at James M. Bennett High School and a special education teacher. In addition to his primary roles, he has served on the Student Services Team and coached on the baseball team since 2014-2018. He lives in Sharptown, Maryland and loves spending time with his wife, Ariel, and three sons, Jude, Jameson, and Joel. He loves anything outdoors, and particularly loves to hunt and fish. He is an avid sports fan, with his favorite teams are Baltimore Orioles and Dallas Cowboys. He is thrilled to take on this new role as Assistant Principal, and wants to make the educational experience beneficial for all students.

MELISSA LASINSKI - DEAN OF STUDENTS

Mrs. Lasinski was born and raised in Audubon, New Jersey. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Mathematics from Salisbury University and a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix. Mrs. Lasinski spent ten years as a middle school math teacher, math and science facilitator, and dean of students in Somerset County prior to working for Wicomico County Public Schools. Mrs. Lasinski is currently serving as Salisbury Middle School’s Dean of Students, the school-based testing coordinator, and the Community Impact team leader. She strives to build relationships with the staff, students, and community members in order to create an environment that’s conducive to student success. Mrs. Lasinski is excited to be a part of the amazing SMS administrative team! She enjoys spending her spare time with her husband and three children, traveling, and watching football (Go Eagles!).

Morris

MICHAEL MORRIS - DEAN OF STUDENTS

Mr. Morris comes from Long Island, New York. He has attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education at Towson University, and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership & Administration from St. Thomas University. Prior to working in administration, Mr. Morris was both a Physical Education teacher, and a United States Olympic Hopeful Athlete. Morris was featured as a finalist on NBC’s “Next Olympic Hopeful” and was selected to pursue a path to the Olympic Games as a cyclist. Prior to teaching and training for the Olympic Games, Morris played football and rugby for the Towson Tigers, and played rugby under the Glendale Raptors professional rugby organization in Vail, Colorado. Morris is now focused on serving his school, community, and family. He enjoys being outdoors, engaging in sports and fitness activities, and loves to spend his free time with his fiancé, Jennifer, and his dog, Kobe. Morris is thrilled to be a part of the Salisbury Middle School community!
