🖌️ **Mrs. Carnahan’s 8th Grade Artists Shine with Neon Skeletons!** 💀✨
Check out these vibrant Neon Skeletons created by Mrs. Carnahan’s talented 8th grade students! Using the grid method, they accurately rendered and enlarged their skeleton drawings, resulting in artwork that *truly glows*. 🎨
With the help of paint markers and various linear techniques, these students brought movement and character to their creations, showing off both their technical skills and creativity.
This project is a perfect example of their persistence, innovation, and growth as young artists — they took risks and experimented with new techniques to develop their own unique approach to art. We are so proud of their hard work and creativity! 👏

It's National School Psychology Week (Nov. 11-15), and we'd like to take this opportunity to say just how much we appreciate the team of school psychologists that supports students in Wicomico County Public Schools every day. We're so grateful for what you do!

📚✨ Friday, our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders participated in a school-wide D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything and Read) event! Our SMS Eagle went to visit classrooms and students who were "caught" reading received a sweet treat! It was a wonderful opportunity for students to dive into their favorite books, explore new genres, and share their love of reading. It was great to see so many of our students actively reading!

Please join Wicomico County Public Schools in honoring and thanking American military veterans this Veterans Day (Monday, Nov. 11). In our schools, many of our students and staff will have opportunities to learn about and observe Veterans Day.

🏈 SU Football at Salisbury Middle School! 🏈
This past Thursday, Salisbury University Football Head Coach Sherman Wood and a few of his current football student-athletes had the opportunity to visit Salisbury Middle School. Our middle school student-athletes connected with the current SU football players who shared their personal stories and emphasized the importance of education and good behavior as the foundation for success.
They encouraged the students to stay focused on their studies and to stay disciplined both in and out of the classroom. The message was clear: the path to achieving your goals starts with making the right choices every day. 💯
Thanks to Coach Wood and the Salisbury University football team for inspiring the next generation of leaders! 🌟

Reminder: Schools will dismiss students 3 hours early on Friday, Nov. 8. That day is also the last day of the 1st marking term. Report cards will be distributed Nov. 15.
